The Rocket: Does it Deserve the Rave..

Some products are mentioned like gold in the beauty world. Recently, Maybelline's the Rocket has been raved about by friends, family, and beauty gurus and bloggers all over the internet. I decided to take it upon myself to check it out. I loved Maybelline's Falsies and Volume Express, so I figured I'd probably get a good use of the Rocket whether it was that great or not. The Currents: Perfume Favorites!

No matter who you are, you have to have a favorite perfume. Cologne for all you men out there. (;
My perfumes rotate and change very frequently. Sometimes I grab the scents with a crisp fruity scent and sometimes I go for the sweet and muskier perfumes with a under tone of black currant. I want to share with you 4 of my favorite perfumes/scents at the moment. Keep reading! ♥

Christmas Gift Guide + Save

Are you struggling on what to get for your loved ones this holiday season? I know I am. It's always going to be about getting something worth the money you're going to spend, and it's important to know that the person will actually put good use to it. I have set up a list of products under $30 that are a great idea for the people in your life.

They Qualify! NYX Glosses.

Too sticky! It tastes disgusting! Too many sparkles! It makes my lips feel like sand paper! Lip gloss is a staple for most girls, whether it's clear, sparkly, or pigmented. The problem is that it's hard to find a nice all around gloss. Some are too sticky, and some taste like plastic.

The Perfect Scarf: Pashmina

Scarves are so important to me this time of year going into cold weather. Sometimes it's hard to find those plushy, thick scarves without getting a little uncomfortable. Chunky knit and wool scarves are always nice to have, but I love to have lighter ones on hand too. My scarf collection is now at about 20 scarves, 12 of them being Pashmina. The quality of Pashmina scarves is so great. They are soft and fill your whole chest when you wrap them around your neck. I have solid colors in Coral, Hot Pink, and Black like the ones above, and I have many patterned and paisley ones as well. The paisley pashmina scarves are in high demand, and they come in a beautiful array and mixture of colors. My favorite would be my Gold and Light blue one, or my Lavender and grey toned one. They fit under jackets and look great just laying over a solid long sleeved sweater. You can purchase Pashmina's at local boutiques and outlets or online. They are usually around 20 dollars per shawl, but sometimes you can find a really nice discounted one at around 12-15 dollars. Do you like scarves? Nail Polish Duo of the Week!

I'd say my choices for toe and fingernail polish for this week are pretty fall inspired, by accident! I was looking for the perfect soft gold color, and I stumbled upon this Maybelline Color Show nail polish at my local CVS. I was like oh my gosh this is exactly what I am looking for, seriously so souped. It's a golden metallic color, with silver flecks  Because of these silver flecks the polish is a lot softer and less yellow then some gold nail polishes. I was very pleased with the quality as well, only one coat is fine but I usually do two anyways. On my toes I picked one of my deepest red colors by OPI. Its a beautiful matte color and it reminds me a lot of cranberries. I would have taken a picture of the polish on but I hate feet and I felt it just wasn't necessary to scar all of you, hahahah! I will list the names, prices and deals down below!

Bold Gold $2.99 at all drugstores, and Target.
Manicurist of Seville $7.99 online and at most salons. I got mine in a pack of two with Black Cherry Chutney for $7.00 at my local TJ Maxx.

The Currents: Fall Wish List

As fall's rolling in, I notice and want different things. Right now I'm into tons of different styles and trends but I have narrowed it down to 7 different items:
Infinity Scarves: I love scarfs for the fall and winter. They keep me warm for when I need to be warm, and I can easily take them off and put them away. Infinity scarves are circular scarves that "last forever" hence the word infinity. I really want a cream or oatmeal colored one, as well as a sparkly charcoal colored one.
UGG Boots: Who can go wrong with Uggs! I have quite a few pair right now, but I have yet to add a pair of tall chocolate ones. A sweater, leggings, and ugg boots is the most cozy and comfortable outfit for the fall! I love, love, love, love, love it!
Gold Claddagh Ring: Irish claddagh rings are very popular around where I'm from. I have a silver one right now, but I really want a gold one to go with my other gold jewelry. The claddagh can represent promise, your heritage, your love life, and some people even get them for wedding bands. You do not have to be Irish to wear one, but I just happen to be. (:
NYX Beige Lip Gloss: I have heard so many beauty "guru's" and other people rave about this product. It's called beige, but it's far from the color. It is the perfect pink color that can just brighten up a subtle look. I really want to purchase this and add to my collection.
Wildfox Jumper: Sweater, sweatshirt, whatever. These are the highlight of autumn. I have seen so many people with these jumpers and they are so soft and cozy! They are rather expensive, but I might want to splurge for the quality.
OPI Glitzerland: Gold is a beautiful color for this season. OPI Glitzerland is a very light gold nailpolish. This color would look great on it's own, or as a topcoat. I have been wanting to get this for a while but I just haven't been able to.
PacSun Nollie Perfume: This perfume really has nothing to do with the fall, it's just one of my favorites. It's a very nostalgic scent for me. It brings me back to my middle school and early highschool years. It has a very peppy and fruity smell to it, I love it.

What do you have your eye on for this season? Leave your input down below. ♥

Cold Weather and Chapped Lips: Baby Lips

In the hot weather, the sun burns your lips. In the cold weather, the wind and dry air chaps your lips. You can never win! I always need a really good chap stick at hand to keep my lips protected and moisturized. Right now Baby Lips does the job and more!
Maybelline Baby Lips is great in more then one area. Its soft and moisturizing, leaving your lips feeling very fresh without being sticky or waxy. Some are clear, and some add a little tint of color. So far I've tried the four baby lips above: Quenched, Pink Punch, Peppermint, and Peach Kiss. The names are pretty explanatory, and very true to flavor. I recommend these to anyone who is into flavored chap sticks. They provide every thing you need: Moisture, flavor, and a tint of color. ($2.99 at most department and drug stores)

Fall Favorites: Flats

When transitioning into fall, you start to slowly put away the sandals and take out the flats. So far, I've been really loving two pairs of Forever 21 flats. They go with almost everything and they're perfect for school! Both were under 20 dollars too!
My first pair on the top, is a silver metallic and sparkly pair of flats. I love to wear this with leggings, or skinny jeans with the bottom of the leg rolled up. These particular shoes and sparkle and shine to any outfit feeling dull. Pair a solid shirt, cute jewelry, these flats and you're ready to go! Oh, and don't forget pants! These flats go with anything! My second pair of flats on the bottom, are a faux suede flat, in a nude taupe. Nude flats are totally in for the fall, they can tie together and outfit. I particularly like these with navy and burgundy sweaters! It gives the outfit such a cozy feel..
What flats are you wearing this season! Comment down below. (:

How to Style Animal Prints!

One trend that's been going on for a while is animal prints, and you see them almost everywhere you go. In jewelry, shoes, clothing, even home decor. There's nothing I love more than a cute pair of leopard flats, or a set of animal print bangles. I have put together three ways to dress up and dress down a piece of animal print clothing.
On the far left, I have put together a night out look. A jet black 3/4 sleeve, form fitting dress goes perfect with the simple leopard flats. To give it a more dressed up look I added a set of gold and black bangles with one chunky leopard bangle. This is perfect for a night out with the girls, or if you're still in school, a homecoming dance.
In the middle, I have put together a summer day look. I used a no sleeved, two pocket, cream button up top and paired it with a comfy leopard short. Simple brown or gold sandals will make this perfect for a walk in the mall or on the beach.
On the right, I cooperated jeans and a more laid back look. A short sleeved, abstract zebra print top on some darker washed jeans gives off a put together school look. A pair of light blue toms is comfy and a perfect pop of color to this outfit. Throw over a blue cardigan for a more chilly day.
Do you like animal print? What's your favorite kind, and how do you wear it?

Mega Plush VS. Colossal Volume

One of my favorite brand of mascara's has always been Mabeline. I purchased the Colossal Volume mascara and it was my favorite for the past winter and spring. Now, just recently I purchased the Mega Plush Volume mascara and I believe it has stole my heart. Both of these mascaras are fantastic but give a little bit of a different look. They have different formulations which would make sense for the different product pay off. (See chart below.)

The Colossal Volume brush on the left, Mega Plush on the right.
The Colossal Volume brush has many thick, small bristles that allow amzing volume payoff. The Mega Plush brush is a larger, more flimsy brush that allows long, flexible, full lashes.

Hey guys! I recently went to Forever 21 and picked up some jewelry. I got two super cute necklaces, and two pairs of earrings as well as a set of studs. I am in love with these and can't wait to wear them! In the left hand corner is my Feather Charm Necklace. It has one real feather, and one gold feather with little diamond accents down the center with a way cute transparent stone with gold veins. The necklace on the right hand side is my Elephant Charm Necklace. I am seriously in love with this one. It is so light and it has four tiny beads dangling from the chain. The earrings were so exciting, I love earrings. The first pair on the left are Rhinestone Filigree earrings in cream and gold. They are so light on my ears and they are the perfect accent to dress up any outfit. The pair on the far right are Iridescent Rhinestone Studs in peach and mint. I cannot get over how beautiful the color of these are! They are so sparkly and nice to wear in the summer. The set in the middle is the Faceted Stud set in purple and teal. Super Trends: Colorful Pants

Now there are absolutely so many great trends going around this year and season. One I am loving to bits is colored pants. Now you can go really wrong with this..I'm sure you won't, but it's extremely possible. Certain washes make colors look less vibrant and some wash out. Now when I say vibrant, I mean VIBRANT. The color doesn't have to be particularly a highlighter yellow to be vibrant. Look for mints, corals, and peaches this summer time. Bright pinks, teals, and purples look especially great on tanned skin and with the perfect pair of sandals. If you love color, take advantage of this! It is a great way to express yourself. (:

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm Review: SO Sweet

I am really loving this product right now. Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Blossom is the perfect soft lip color and balm for the summer time. It is very moisturizing and leaves just a sheer pink color on your lips.(See swatch above.) It has a typical Burt's Bees scent with a hint of bubble gum sweetness. 100% natural and perfect for on the go! It comes in a nice little container that I continue to use. It keeps everything clean just as the day you purchased it. You can find this at many drug and department stores, and even on the Burt's Bees website. It is $7.00 and worth it, trust me. I am not one to splurge on chap sticks. Air five to you all. ♥

Nail of the Week

I know, I know. It's kind of far into the week to update a NTW. But hey, I was having serious compulsive problems with my nail color prior this week so I decided to switch it up. Better late then never right? This nail is only on the tip, because I didn't think the coral color looked very nice on my full nail. I used the gold color by Wet n Wild only on both tips of my thumb nails. I used the coral color on the tips of all other nails. The coral was only $2.80 at my local Forever 21 and online! It has moderate coverage, 2-3 coats for full nails. The gold was a gift for Christmas, but it is in the Fast Dry collection by Wet n Wild. Any gold and shimmery polishes would look perfect for this look! It's very girly and summery, pardon the discoloration and orangness (new word, write that down) in my nails. EW! Have to stay real, so I posted the picture anyways. I encourage you to try to get this look done at a local nail salon or if you like, do it yourself! Air five to you all. ♥
My nails are somewhat discolored and need to breathe very
soon. Sometimes too much polish isn't good. Who would
have guessed!? ):
The Gold and the Beautiful and Coral
Welcome to Positively Sweeet! This is a blog dedicated to beauty, reviews, and everyday crafts, hauls, and monthly favorites. Each week a "NTW" or nail of the week will be blogged. It contains the prices, names, reviews, colors and where to find each product or polish. Each month I will show my favorites for that month, for instance, at the beginning of August I will post my "July Favorites" picture with details. Hauls of common, online, and not-so-common boutiques will be uploaded every once in  a while as well. Keep an eye out for random tips, tricks, and recipes! DIY (do it yourself) is something I love and would love to share with all of you. Hope you're interested! I'm not a touchy person, so no hugs from me! Air five to all of you. ♥ Bloggers.com
